Chelsea Center for the Arts
The Chelsea Center for the Arts presents "pARTicipation Sunday Try-it Day" from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14. Come explore the arts offered at the CCA this fall and check out the art and music classes for artists of all ages. Paint, draw, make a print, or enjoy the other visual arts activities going on throughout the building. Play the violin or flute and maybe sing a tune with out talented instructors. Sept. 6 Bird Hike, 7:30 a.m. Bring your binoculars and a field guide to observe bird species seen in the park and records dates, locations and trends from year to year. There is a fee of $2 per person.
Sept. 7 Critter Paddle 12:30 to 4 p.m.$35/boat and program. Bug boxes and boats! Discover the small critters that live in the Huron River. Meet at Dexter-Huron Metropark for you, your boat and a naturalist guide to be transported upstream to Hudson Mills Metropark. Select canoes, single kayaks and/or double kayaks, whichever boat best fits you and your family. This is a short two hour paddle with an adventure stop to discover along the way. For ages five and older.
