Lima Township Planning Commission meeting has been changed from Aug. 19 to Aug. 26, due to the Chelsea Fair. The meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Lima Township Hall, 11452 Jackson Rd.

3-D Archery Shoot will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Post 46 Hunting & Fishing Club, 8888 Dexter Town Hall Road in Pinckney. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children 14 and under. Registration is required. For more information, call Brad Coy at 734-649-9168.

"Family Campout" will be held from 5 p.m. Sept. 6 until 11 a.m. Sept. 7 at Independence Lake, 3200 Jennings Rd., in Webster Township.

Bring tents, sleeping bags and lawn chairs. An evening nature hike, campfire and breakfast gathering will be offered for campers. Pre-registration is required, along with a small camping fee. Park entry fee also required.

A fund-raising event for the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk (which takes place in September) will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Big Boy Restaurant on Zeeb Road in Scio Township. Donations can also be made to the Pink Lifesavers at www.the3day.org

Saturday Bats Incredible, 8 p.m. Join us as we search for bats in the early nighttime sky. We will explore bat life, behavior, and conservation through a power point presentation then head outside. There is a fee of $2 per person. Call to pre-register.
