Friday, 11 a.m. NATIVE AMERICAN SAND ART. Living in harmony with nature is an important part of American Indian culture. Come hear Native American stories, and use an important cultural symbol to create sand-art to take home.
Saturday, 11 a.m. MASSASAUGA RATTLESNAKE. Participants will learn about Michigan's one venomous snake species. (No live snakes for this presentation.)
Wednesday, 11 a.m. ABC's of NATURE HIKE. Walk the Oakwood trail with the park interpreter, and look and learn about natural objects for each letter of the alphabet.
Thursday, Aug. 7, 11 a.m. ICE AGE ADVENTURE. Travel back to a time when Waterloo was covered in ice. Discover how powerful the glaciers were and what animals lived here. Make a glacial history to take home.
Friday, Aug. 8, 11 a.m. PIONEER LIFE. Discover the ins and outs of pioneer life while playing with a variety of wooden pioneer toys, and experiencing some of the school games played and household chores done by pioneer children.
