Falcons capture Canton Cup

The Dexter Falcons boys' U-11 soccer team captured the Canton Cup in a youth tournament last month.

In four games, the Falcons, a member of the Dexter Soccer Club, finished unbeaten scoring 15 goals and allowing only two.
The Falcons defeated the Plymouth Reign 98 Green 5-3 in the tournament championship game.
Dexter competes in the Western Suburban Soccer League. The Falcons are a perfect 10-0 in league play this season.
Members of the Dexter squad include Evan Johnson, Sam Ketzner, Guy Burke, Luke Bazick, Jake Rayer, Peter Assenmacher, Blake Leonard, Rhys Moller, Lucas Bottomley, Spencer Vollmers, Jake Killian, David Innis, Spencer Norton and Kimi Camara.
Head coach of the Falcons is Sara Camara. Assistant coaches include Greg Leonard and Eric Johnson. Team manager is Lisa Vollmers.
Also participating in the Canton Cup last month was the Michigan Tigers boys' U-10 Blue team. The Tigers finished first in their division to earn a championship.
Chelsea residents Nicholas Arons and Graham Kuras are members of the Tigers.
