Jessie Boren led the Dreadnaughts' attack with two goals and two steals. Megan Innis added one goal, while Adrienne Fasbinder had one goal and three steals and Erin Donevan three steals for Dexter.

In net for the Dreadnaughts Taylor Bartscht finished with 12 saves and three steals.

"Jessie Boren really came through for us both offensively and defensively," said Dexter coach Rebecca Godek. "Goalie Taylor Bartscht had a great game coming up with some huge saves for us."

Godek said Okemos is always a tough opponent.

"They are strong, fast and have great shooters," she said. "We had a great first half defensively running a drop, attempting to shut down their hole set where a lot of their goals came from in our previous game against them."

Godek said her team will continue to improve.

"One thing we will be working on for our future games is getting our swimming speed and endurance up so we can take advantage of our counter attack," she said.

In the JV match-up, Dexter lost 6-2.

Ashley Whitman and Megan Brown each had one goal for the Dreads.

In net, Meaghan Mead recorded nine saves for Dexter.

On April 17, the visiting Dreadnaughts defeated Mason 10-6.

Paige Sheats led Dexter with four goals and five steals.

Kelsey Schultz added three goals and one steal, while Fasbinder had one goal and two steals and Boren one goal, one assist and two steals.

Jessica Bado finished with one goal and two steals, while Natalie Fluent had one assist and three steals for the Dreadnaughts.

Mead earned the win in net with six saves and two steals.

In the JV contest, Dexter won 9-0.

Betsy Eber led the Dreads with two goals and one steal.

Whitman added two goals, while Megan Brown, Jill Wiltse and Katie Korinek each chipped in one goal for Dexter.

Rachel Brouwer had one goal and one steal, while Radhika Raghunathan had one goal and Adie Heyne four steals.

Bartscht recorded the win in net with six saves.

The Dreadnaughts next host Grand Ledge Thursday at 7 p.m.

On Friday, Dexter travels to Saline for a match-up at 6 p.m.
