Loose change and dollars that are donated by students in each classroom are put in a bucket and counted daily by student council. At the end of a three week period, the classroom that collected the most money earns a pizza party.
Each school sponsors two children with blood cancer. Creekside's students are supporting a seven year old boy named Noah and an eight year old girl named Sarah.
Though this is Creekside's first year participating, the school has already exceeded their goal of $800, raising $4,275.88.
Creekside is planning to do this fundraiser again because it is an incomparable impact to the students and teachers when they have the feeling of supporting a desirable cause.
Catherine A. Rodriguez and Jaime E. Uren are sixth-graders at Creekside.
