"It was closer than the score indicated," said Dexter coach Mike Dziama. "We lost two three-setters. It was just one of those things. It'll be a good learning process. It'll help us understand we need to win the close points. But it was good match experience. We'll build from this."
In singles play, Dreadnaught Frank Dufek lost 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 flight.
At No. 2 singles, Dexter's Robert Partarrieu lost 6-4, 6-4.
Dreadnaught Kyle DeBruycker fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
Angelo Quail won 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 4 singles for Dexter.
In doubles, the Dreadnaught duo of Ryan Kuhns and Javier Curmina won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 flight.
At No. 2 doubles, Mark Anderson and Andrew DeZeeuw lost 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 for Dexter.

Scott Repine and John Crist lost to 6-4, 7-5 at No. 4 doubles for Dexter.
"We played well," Dziama said. "They were all close matches. Next time we have to win the key points."
The Dreadnaughts next travel to Hillsdale for a match Monday at 4 p.m.
On April 19, Dexter visits state power Ann Arbor Pioneer for a contest at 4 p.m.
On April 21, the Dreadnaughts will host their own invitational at 9 a.m. Besides Dexter, other teams participating in the match will be Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, Dearborn Heights Crestwood and Carleton Airport.
