Family game night

Families are invited to bring board games and snacks and join the groups in the Fellowship Hall at St. Andrew's church at 7 p.m. Saturday.
This is part of a series of Second Saturday Family Games Nights the church is hosting in celebration of its 25th anniversary year.
Whether it's Monopoly, Clue, checkers or chess, attendees are sure to find enough players for a good game. Adults and older teens might play euchre or pinochle or other card games during the evening and enjoy each other's company and competition.
This fellowship night is free. The church is located at Ann Arbor Road and Inverness and the Fellowship Hall entrance is on the Fourth Avenue side. Plenty of parking and snacks are available.
State trooper seminar
The Michigan State Police is announcing a recruiting seminar for new trooper candidates.
Meet MSP officers at an informational session beginning promptly at 10 a.m. Saturday at the UAW Hall, 8975 Textile Road, Ypsilanti Township.
Business attire is required. If you are capable of serving with excellence, integrity and courtesy, consider this challenging and rewarding career. For more information, call the Michigan State Police at 734-482-1211.
Firehouse Fridays
KeyBank's Firehouse Fridays will be in Scio Township on April 18.
Each Friday this month, KeyBank will feature a different firehouse. When people open a new checking account at any KeyBank location, the bank will donate $25 for each new account opened to that week's featured firehouse. W4 Country will be broadcasting from each featured fire department on their Firehouse Friday from 7 to 10 a.m.
Relay for Life teams
With Dexter's second Relay for Life quickly approaching in June, teams are getting organized for the community-uniting event. Cornerstone Fitness in Dexter Village's downtown will be adding itself to the list of Dexter's teams participating in the American Cancer Society's event.
The next Team Captains' Meeting is April 15 at 7 p.m. at Dexter United Methodist Church, at 7643 Huron River Drive.
