The Dexter Cooperative Nursery has scheduled an open house for 5:30 p.m. today. It's probably a good idea to at least take a look, according to Christina Ladd, Dexter Co-op publicity coordinator.
"Our tuition is much less than typical preschools, which is a benefit with the current economy," she said.
The co-op's purpose is not only to teach children, but to involve parents in the learning process.
The facility is open Monday through Friday, with classes in the morning and afternoon. The teachers are excited about the upcoming event.
"The Co-op is a place where children can learn and play while making new friends," said 3's teacher Pam Wittenberg.
"The great thing about it is that the parents can interact with their children and meet other parents in a very warm and inviting atmosphere."

Dexter residents with a sweet tooth will once again be called upon to raise funds for Dexter's Knights of Columbus Council 2959. The candies will be sold on sidewalks Friday, Saturday and Sunday to raise money for the special education programs in the Dexter Community School District.
School bond forum
Dexter Community Schools want residents to learn as much as they can about the May 6 bond proposal, which would provide the district with $47.8 million in funds for work around the district.
The first forum is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. March 25 in the Creekside Intermediate School cafeteria. District officials will talk about the steps leading up to the bond, why a bond was chosen as a vehicle for funding improvements and the individual projects chosen for inclusion in the bond.
