Junior Ryan Lemasters led the Dreadnaughts (8-12) with a career-high 19 points and five steals.

Senior Dave Pisano added 13 points, while senior T.J. Fenske had nine points and seven rebounds.

Junior Dan Newell and junior Justin Gomez each had six points, while sophomore Stefan Elslager had four points and freshman Dave LaMore two points and a team-high eight rebounds.

"Lincoln hurt us on the boards and on the dribble drive," said Dexter coach Randy Swoverland.

On Feb. 19, the visiting Dreadnaughts lost to county rival Chelsea 47-45. The Bulldogs scored with 45 seconds left in the game for the winning bucket.

LaMore had a strong game for Dexter leading the team with 16 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the floor. He also grabbed a team-high eight boards.

Lemasters added 11 points, while Fenske had eight points, Newell six points and Pisano four points.

"The game was right down to the wire, as usual," Swoverland said. "We played pretty hard. Both teams struggled to score points."

Dexter faced South Lyon in a Class A first round game after press deadline. The district final is Friday at 7 p.m. The Dreadnaughts are hosting the district.

Freshman Basketball

Dexter's freshman boys' basketball team defeated Ypsilanti Lincoln 60-53 to conclude its season last Thursday.

Travis Chaffee and Tyler Dunham led the Dreadnaughts (4-14) each with 13 points.

On Feb. 19, Dexter lost to Chelsea 49-29.

Brian Bentz had 11 points to pace the Dreads. Marshall Kellenberger and Chaffee each netted six points for Dexter.
