Despite continued construction on the first floor of the building, the second and third floors have been occupied and some are ready for business.
Second floor
Chelsea Community Hospital has expanded their services to Dexter. Doctors Bradford Wylie and Donald Martin opened their practice, Dexter Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Tuesday and are accepting new patients.
For more information contact the office at 426-8696.
The practice's neighbor, Faith Member Services, has called the second floor home since September.
Faith Member Services advertises for the Catholic-based magazine Faith.
Third floor
Dentist Brent Kolb is putting the finishing touches on his third floor office that's slated for a March opening.
Kolb, who works in an office in Saline with two other dentists, said that this is his first venture on his own and is happy to take a hands-on approach.
"Negotiations were made in September and from then I got the ball rolling," he said. "I had the floor plan done and selected the colors and decided where the reception area was going to be and had to decide on the number of treatment rooms."
Kolb said he is happy with his 1,900-square foot office, called the Dexter Family Dentistry.
"The associates I work with suggested this office space in Dexter," he said. "And I can't complain I loved it and it's a great location."
Kolb, who graduated from Ohio State University in 2003, moved to Ann Arbor the same year for a residency at the University of Michigan.
Since then, Kolb said that he's been pretty busy working in three different offices.
"I've learned a lot and am happy venturing out on my own," he said. "I'm looking forward to meeting new patients and watching my practice grow."

As Kolb preps for his grand opening, the Data Integrated Scientific Systems (DISS) next door has been open since July.
The company, which has offices in Chicago and Philadelphia, specializes in software development for life sciences and homeland security for bio-defense.
DISS caters to companies around the world including Pfizer Inc. in Kalamazoo and England.
Business Director Kathy Hastings said the company was recently recognized by the "Top 50 Companies to Watch in Michigan."
Hastings said that the company has contracted additional space on the third floor to make room for Pinckney Pro-Life, an organization that offers guidance to women who've gone through an abortion.
Hastings, who is the organization's president, said that the organization is intended to provide youth an opportunity to get involved in the pro-life movement.
