Knickerbocker entered Huron Creek Party Store, located at 6100 Dexter-Pinckney Road, at approximately 8:20 p.m. Jan. 31 carrying a baseball bat, according to the police report.
Knickerbocker threatened the female clerk and ran off with $1,200.
Sgt. Brian Filipiak, of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Substation in Dexter Village, said that the clerk wasn't hurt and that she identified Knickerbocker from a photo line-up.
Filipiak said that Knickerbocker was arrested Feb. 1. Police couldn't recover the $1,200.
Cmdr. Dave Egeler, of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Dept., said that Knickerbocker is a suspect in two other robberies, including one that took place at Scio Township's CITGO gas station on Jackson Road.
"The suspect in those cases matches Knickerbocker's description," Egeler said. "The person used a baseball bat in those incidents."
Knickerbocker, who pleaded not guilty to the armed robbery charges, is currently in custody at the Washtenaw County Jail with a bond set at $100,000.
His next court hearing is Feb. 13.
