Following a two-week respite from dual meet competition during winter break, Mill Creek's focused training during the holidays paid off with a strong showing against Adrian.

Mill Creek swept the top three spots in the first event, the mixed 200 medley relay, and set the tone for the meet. Josh Boren, Joseph Wendorf, Mark Brown, and Murphy Hansen placed first in 2:05.45. Melissa Vesey, Hailey Sheats, Emalie Taylor, and Jonathan Zofchak finished second touching the wall in 2:10.25, while Daniel Brooks, Susie Butler, Nate Kilian, and Brianna Tingley placed third in 2:16.22.

Jake Claflin stormed to first in the mixed 200 freestyle in 2:05.20, while Megan Day swam a 2:14.61 for third and Max Merriman placed fourth in 2:23.73.

Kyle Franz outdistanced the field in the 100 individual medley in 1:04.92, while Vesey was second in 1:11.26 followed by Sheats in third in 1:12.11. Strong swims in the exhibition heats were turned in by Mill Creek's Michael Hauke, John Eber, Brianna Tingley, and Hansen.

In the mixed 50 freestyle, Killian took top honors in 25.93, Zofchak was second in 28.07, and Charlie Butler sixth in 30.91. Conner Thompson, Caroline Rossini, Joey Pek, Alison Rossini, Tara Stetler and Brown swam well in other heats of the event.

Lynn Metz led the divers with a first-place finish in the one-meter dive event tallying 109.10 points in her six dives. Other Mill Creek divers who performed well included Madison Opp, Lauren LaFontaine, Kristie Duve, Kate Pepple, Sarah Keen, and Katerina Mendel.

Franz placed first in the mixed 50 butterfly in 30.28, while Susie Butler was third with a time of 35.96. Merriman placed fourth in 37.31. Brennan Maisch, Molly Keenan, and Wendorf swam well in other heats.

Claflin sprinted to a first-place finish in the mixed 100 freestyle in 58.12, while Charlie Butler was third in 1:09.75 and Brooks fourth in 1:11.00. Matt Munzel, Callie Swan, Day, Eber and Pek competed well in an earlier heat.

Kilian, Franz, Merriman, and Brown swam to a first-place finish in the mixed 200 freestyle relay in 1:48.22, while Susie Butler, Claflin, Hauke and Day placed third in 1:58.00. The quartet of Audrey Sleder, Kylie Boyd, Emily Assenmacher and Swan, along with Jilliane Hook, Maggie Chesbrough, Alison Rossini and Stetler took the top spots in the earlier heat.

Hansen was first in the mixed 100 backstroke with a time of 1:11.43, while Vesey was second in 1:12.43 and Brooks third in 1:14.57.
